I’ve just about got the back & front done. I’m just wondering how people blocked it? Each piece separately? Join front & back & then block? Then sleeves later?
Despite ripping out twice, I think my gauge was still off, and will need to do some major stretching when I block! Hopefully it will work, I sure want to wear it!

I am way bummed because I left my knitting bag on the floor when I rushed out to work and the dog got into it and destroyed my WIP.? So….I am back to row 1.?
? All of your sweaters are beautiful!? I hope that this 3rd time is the charm!

I finished knitting this morning and set the sweater out for blocking.? Up until now, I’ve just dampened sweaters and shaped them and left to dry, mostly for lack of a blocking board.? Today I kicked in the brain cells to see what I could use around the house as a blocking board.? Aha!? I have some leftover interlocking foam floor mats I bought at Costco.? They look like big jigsaw puzzle pieces, and you can stick pins in them.? You can see pictures at my webshots.com album.
For ages I’ve been trying to come up with a use for? those stretchy plastic mesh bags that produce (like onions and garlic) come in.? I’ve saved them periodically and put them away in my crafts drawer, not sure what to do with them, but I figured there was something.? Finally, the Grand Aha!? These mesh bags make wonderful skein holders, gently cuddling your wool and keeping it neat in your knitting bag, right down to the last two or three loops.? ? Again, pics at my webshots.com album.?
? Sorry, I haven’t figured out how to add pictures to these posts.

Hello All,
Wow, so many gorgeous works in progress!? I finished my wrap this weekend.? Impressive for me as I HATE, HATE finishing.? I am very happy with the end results - more so than with other recent knits I’ve made for myself.? I attribute that to the pattern and not my knitting

I look forward to more pictures from you all!
Happy knitting!

So after I hit row xx.. I was overwhelmed with work and hubby’s cardi I was trying to rush. and it dawned on me I didn’t know where was I. And the shaping..oh my, oh my.
So I tink everything and redo from beginning. So far, I am at row 6. Kind of slow progress. It helps that the yarn makes me want to knit it up. So soft. I’m using Sublime in charcoal color.

Hi.? This is my first post, but I have been knitting away and checking in occasionally to see others’ photos.? It’s very helpful to see progress photos; that way I know I’m on the right track? –? or we’re on the wrong track together!
Here’s a photo of my sweater.? I’ve just finished both sleeves and am ready to start the trim.? I’ve used Rowan Soft Baby in a very pale celery green.? It’s very soft and cuddly.? I’m hoping my MIL will like it, as it is a going to be a Christmas gift.

Good knitting!

? (Looks like I don’t know how to insert a picture, so here’s a url at webshots.com where you can see the sweater.? You can also see my other albums and find out why I’m luvmypony.? Cheers!? K? ? http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2679927350093632134sGqBMj

I have a lot to report!?
The bad news: I was out sick from work? with a cold a week ago Tuesday (all better now!).? The good news: I finished both sleeves in just one day!
?
? I have a confession: I am terrible at finishing projects.? I’m not just talking about the many projects that languish on my shelves - I mean that I’m not? very good at sewing seams and such, ESPECIALLY? when it comes to sewing in sleeves.? One of the things that I really like about this project is that the majority of the finishing is accomplished by picking up stitches, which is not only easier, but more attractive than my sewing.
? Since I’m not very good at finishing, I balked when the instructions for the left edging said to re-join the yarn to knit the belt.? I knew that I would never be as satisfied with re-joining yarn as using a continuous strand, so I got creative.? I joined the yarn at the neckline leaving? a long enough tail to pick up stitches along the front.? I picked up the stitches and knotted the tail at the bottom of the left front.? Then? I moved my work to the opposite end of the circular needle, picked up the ball yarn and knit, reversing the directions since this means you knit on the right v. wrong side on the first row.? This is how it turned out:
?
? ? And here is my sweater blocking (the photo’s a little fuzzy):
?
? Everything’s all sewn up now (for better or worse).? I even wore it out last weekend!? But I don’t have any photos of myself in the sweater & this post is long enough without my commentary on the pros, cons, fit, and finished product, so I’ll get back to y’ll with all that.?
Where are you all in the knitting process?

No pics this time.?
?
I was just curious how far everyone is.? Since there isn’t any timeline set up, everyone goes their own pace, of course, but I was wondering what part people are working on.? I just started the right front, to start the conversation…
